Lead Carpenter - Property Maintenance & Residential Projects

About the Role: Take your carpentry career to new heights working on diverse, challenging projects that showcase your skills. You'll operate within a dynamic team environment while maintaining the autonomy to manage your work efficiently. This is a hands-on working supervisor position, requiring both practical carpentry work and leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute precision carpentry work including 1st/2nd fix and detailed joinery

Handle daily property maintenance requests and general repairs

Wall removal, cabinetry relocations, and new installations

Read and interpret construction plans, measuring and setting out work

Material ordering and supplier coordination

Timber framing, door hanging, and window installations

Concrete work, tiling, painting, and gyprock with professional finishing

Coordinate property maintenance schedules with tenants and property managers

Participate in after-hours maintenance callout roster

Maintain accurate Tradify records with mandatory weekly reconciliation

Supervise maintenance crews and provide technical mentoring

Essential Requirements:

Trade Certificate in Carpentry (minimum 3 years post-apprenticeship)

Experience in property maintenance and residential construction

Valid driver's license, White Card, Working at Heights certification

Recent Police Clearance (within 6 months) for property access

Complete professional tool set and physical capability for extended work

Strong communication skills and professional presentation

Tradify/Service Mate software experience or immediate proficiency required

Consistent attendance with reliable work ethic

Complete projects within 90% of estimated timeframes

Zero workplace incidents and full safety compliance

Accurate digital work records meeting weekly deadlines

Commitment to 45-hour flexible arrangements including administration

Full participation in after-hours emergency maintenance roster
