Are you passionate about empowering young people and creating positive opportunities for them to connect, learn, and grow? The City of Karratha is looking for an enthusiastic Youth Officer to join our team and help shape the future of youth programs in our community!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deliver engaging programs that encourage positive socialization and safe recreation for young people aged 11–18.
- Be a role model and provide guidance and support to young people.
- Activate our youth facilities by running programs and ensuring they are safe, welcoming, and well-maintained.
- Engage with stakeholders including community groups, contractors, and service providers to enhance youth opportunities.
- Support young people by ensuring their safety and making appropriate referrals when needed.

What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in youth work, social work, or community services (or currently studying in these areas).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build connections with young people.
- Ability to manage programs, solve problems, and handle challenges with confidence.
- A Working with Children Check, First Aid Certificate, and C Class Driver’s License (or willingness to obtain).
