Role Overview

This permanent, full-time role sits within the independent validation team, focusing on Group-wide models across capital, funding, liquidity, operational, conduct, compliance, and financial crime risks.

You will:

• Lead independent validations of critical models
• Provide oversight and constructive challenge to senior stakeholders
• Mentor junior team members and support the uplift of model risk practices, including emerging areas such as AI model validation
• Influence technical and non-technical audiences through clear communication and relationship management

Skills & Experience

We’re looking for someone with:

• Significant experience in model validation or development, ideally across multiple risk classes
• Strong programming skills (e.g. SAS, SQL, R, Python)
• Deep understanding of regulatory standards, financial statements, and Pillar III reporting
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for senior stakeholders
• Proven track record of working independently while delivering high-quality outcomes
• Experience mentoring junior team members and driving model risk governance uplift
