About the Role
The City is seeking organised and energetic individuals to join the Administration Officer – Relief Pool to work in a casual capacity. As the role is casual, hours are unable to be guaranteed, however we are seeking applications from suitably qualified Administration Officers who are available to work Monday to Friday between the hours 8:00am to 4:30pm.

The successful appointees will be responsible for providing administrative assistance and general clerical duties for various service units across the organisation, covering absences and short-term vacancies. Relief appointments are generally for periods of one to six weeks, working 37.5 hours a week for each assignment although part-time hours also become available at times.

The Administration Officer (Relief) works closely with Service Units to:

  • Compile, maintain and distribute documents to support the service of the unit
  • Act as a point of contact for the unit and coordinate customer requests ensuring information is accurate
  • Arrange meetings, agendas and minutes
  • Coordinate appointments and process records
  • Complete routine financial transactions and purchasing requirements

Suitable applicants may be contacted over the next 6 months as opportunities within the relief team arise.

  • Demonstrate relevant experience in administrative and financial processes
  • Have exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks
