Pureablue is seeking a senior metalworking technician at our Armidale Manufacturing Plant.

You will be responsible for a variety of manufacturing assembly activities across our production environment including the operation and management of a CNC (computer controlled) waterjet cutting machine (similar to a laser cutter). We are also currently investigating procuring a laser cutting machine which will come under your responsibility and management.

Operating the machine requires working with CAD design files in the machine’s controller software.

Our team designs in 3D CAD, then cut and drill all parts with CNC laser and water jet. We avoid using tape measures, sawing and drilling by hand if we can. You will work on a large variety of our product lines and projects.

The preferred role is full-time, however if a part-time commitment is preferred it will be considered.

Responsibilities:

Operate the CNC waterjet cutting machine and its controller software.

Assemble CNC laser cut metal, and electrical components to a high level of accuracy and quality.

Read and interpret 3D & 2D CAD assembly drawings.

Monitor and check product quality.

Collaborate with the design team for part design improvement.

Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, but not essential.

Experience in CAD drawing preferred. On the job training will be provided to boost skills and to initiate your skill development which will naturally happen on the job.

Certificate or Diploma in manufacturing or construction related field is highly regarded.

Knowledgeable with use of hand and power tools.

Mechanical aptitude.

Appreciation of high-quality work and attention to detail.

Strong problem solver with desire to learn and develop skills.

Self-managed and proactive.
