Machinist CNC operator

We are seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker to join our team at Square Joinery in Fairfield East In this full-time role, you will be responsible for operating a CNC machine and panel saw to produce high-quality custom cabinetry and furniture for our clients.
What you'll be doing
• Operate CNC machining equipment to cut and shape cabinet components with precision
• Use panel saws to cut panels and boards to size for cabinetry and furniture
• Assemble custom cabinetry, drawers, and shelving units
• Perform finish work such as sanding, staining, and polishing to ensure a professional final product
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to manufacture items to customer requirements
• Maintain tools, equipment, and the workshop to high safety and quality standards
• Work collaboratively with the wider production team to meet deadlines and delivery targets
What we're looking for
• Formal qualification in Cabinet Making or a related trade
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Cabinet Maker, with demonstrated proficiency in operating CNC machines and panel saws
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision to tight tolerances
• Sound knowledge of cabinetry construction techniques and materials
• Familiarity with reading technical drawings and interpreting specifications
• A keen eye for quality and a commitment to producing excellent work
• Ability to work well in a team environment and contribute to a positive workshop culture
Our standard working hours are Monday - Friday 7.00am – 3;30pm. Overtime and weekend work may also be required when necessary.
