Senior Project Officer |12 Month Contract |$650 p/d + SUPER

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Project Officer to join a dynamic team focused on advancing social and economic outcomes for individuals across NSW. This 12-month role offers the opportunity to lead impactful programs designed to deliver meaningful change through effective project and grant management.

You will be responsible for managing grants and contracts, working collaboratively with community providers and stakeholders, and using data to evaluate program success. Your work will support government priorities and contribute to broader social and economic objectives.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading the delivery of key social and economic programs through comprehensive grant and contract management.
• Engaging and supporting community organisations and service providers to ensure program success and accountability.
• Applying your expertise in stakeholder engagement and project management within a politically sensitive environment.
• Using data and evaluation to measure impact and inform ongoing program improvements.
• Mentoring junior staff and contributing to a collaborative team culture.

About You

You are a skilled project professional with proven experience in managing grants and contracts. You thrive in complex environments and bring strong leadership, collaboration, and strategic thinking to your work.

You will bring:

• Demonstrated experience in grant management and contract oversight.
• Strong project management skills, preferably within government or the non-profit sector.
• Effective stakeholder engagement capabilities, especially with community organisations.
• Confidence working with data, evaluation, and evidence-based approaches.
• Political awareness and professionalism in navigating public sector priorities.
• Ability to mentor and support junior colleagues.
