About the role
As our customer base continues to grow across Australia, Liebherr Maritime Cargo & Construction Division are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Technical Manager, this role involves servicing and maintaining a diverse range of Cranes, including Crawler Cranes, Drilling and Piling Equipment, with occasional work on Harbour Mobile and Gantry Cranes and Offshore Cranes.
There is no set roster for this position, it will be Monday to Friday 0700 to 15:06 each day Perth Based at our Redcliffe site, with overtime paid when you need to attend site for maintenance. This is purely customer demand driven and when on site these will be 12 hour days.
Company van and tooling provided.
There will be a need to travel interstate from time to time.
The Base Hourly Rate is dependable on experience and ranges from $55ph to $59ph. Overtime is paid as Time and a Half for first 2 hours over regular hours, then double time after that.
Saturdays is paid as Time and a Half for first 2 hours, then double time after that.
Sundays is paid as Double Time.
Key Responsibilities
Major and minor service working independently across WA with some travel throughout Australia
Diagnostics and troubleshooting of Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical systems
Inspect and test electrical and instrumentation systems and components
Routine maintenance, repairs, and component replacements
Expand and maintain customer relationships in the field
Complete service reporting and manufacturers documentation
Adhere to safety guidelines in the workplace
About you
Certificate III Engineering (Mechanical) Diesel Fitter, Mobile Plant Technology or Automotive Electrical Technology
Able to work in remote locations and under adverse conditions
Flexibility to travel to customer sites and work over-time as required.
Capable of working independently in the field, problem solving in various situations.
Crane industry experience desirable.
Ability to fault find and rectify hydraulic, mechanical and electrical issues
A current Australian driver’s license with no restrictions is a MUST.
Currently living in WA preferred.
