VIKING Australia is looking for a talented individual to join our Bibra Lake workshop, located in Perth, Western Australia, as a Marine Service Technician (Liferafts & Safety Equipment).

About the position
Our Service Technicians are responsible for the service and maintenance of VIKING safety products.

Key tasks include:

Inspection of liferafts, lifejackets, and other safety products

Carry out servicing of safety equipment according to service interval and necessary requirements, including but not limited to inflation/deflation, load testing and replacement of survival equipment

Packing safety equipment ready for transport and/or delivering products to customers locally

Generate timely service reports and maintain accurate record-keeping

Upkeep of tools, equipment and service area in accordance with QHSE policies and procedures.

Your entry into the position
Our ideal candidate has experience in a similar marine-based role, trade, or trade assistant background. Additionally, you will need the following:

Good written and verbal communication skills

Experience with cloud-based systems

Ability to read and understand technical manuals and regulatory standards

Awareness of relevant maritime regulations, such as SOLAS, IMO, NSCV

Self-motivated and a high attention to detail

Forklift licence desirable

Manual driver's licence desirable

This position will involve travel as needed to support the operational needs of the company.
