Litton Andrews (Litton Associates Pty Ltd) – providing a Total Medical/Healthcare Recruitment and Consultancy Service with the best staffing, practice and business solutions.
Litton Andrews is proud to be partnering with one of Australia’s most respected providers of private emergency healthcare. What began as a family-led initiative with a bold vision to transform the standard of private emergency care has grown into a trusted provider operating across nine sites nationally. Our client partners with hospitals across Australia to deliver fast, patient-focused emergency services — and with strong momentum behind them, they are preparing to expand further into NSW and VIC with plans for 4–5 additional sites.
We are now seeking an experienced and highly regarded Operations Manager to join this purpose-driven organisation during an exciting phase of growth. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity (38–40 hours per week) offering hybrid flexibility (a mix of onsite and remote work), with the role based across the Brisbane CBD Head Office. Regular travel throughout Queensland — including Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, and South Brisbane — will be required.
Key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
Oversee the operational performance of multiple departments, ensuring alignment with the organisational goals, compliance with regulatory standards and delivery of exceptional patient care
Optimise processes to improve workflows and efficiency
Support budgeting, forecasting and cost control initiatives
Monitor operational KPIs and financial metrics to drive efficiency and profitability
Ensure the organisations strategy is integrated into each site’s operation
Monitor for compliance and identify improvement opportunities
Develop and implement company policies to advance business objectives
Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, licensing requirements and practice policies to mitigate operational risk and maintain accreditation standards
The performance metrics of the Operations Manager are linked to the 5 sites under their direct supervision
Participate in group and site-based projects as required
Oversee audits, inspections and incident response processes
Manage workplace health and safety incidents and responses
Manage relationships with hospital stakeholders, including the Hospital General Manager, the Administration Manager and the Nurse Unit Manager
Manage and mentor the Practice Managers across all 5 sites
Ensure staff are aligned with organisational values and operating effectively in their respective roles
Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration and professional development.
To be successful in this position, you will have the following attributes:
Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Healthcare Management or related field
5+ years of experience in healthcare operations management, preferably within a multi-site or distributed network setting
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop teams remotely
Proven track record of process improvement, project management and change management in a healthcare environment
Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting and operational metrics
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Understanding of healthcare compliance and regulations, including Medicare
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to review, define and implement effective processes
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail with well-developed organisational skills
Ability to delegate responsibilities whilst maintaining organisational control of site operations
Remuneration:
A competitive annual salary in the range of $140,000 to $165,000, plus superannuation and a discretionary bonus, will be offered to candidates with the right skills and experience. In addition to a rewarding remuneration package, the organisation offers a suite of benefits including on-site car parking, a monthly Rostered Day Off (RDO), professional development opportunities, and attendance at an annual industry conference.
This is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic organisation in a significant growth phase. With plans to open three additional sites in the near future, and further expansion anticipated into the 2027 financial year, this role offers strong potential for career development and involvement in strategic, high-impact projects. While growth at this scale presents its challenges, it also brings immense opportunity for an experienced and forward-thinking Operations Manager ready to contribute to and shape the next phase of success.
