Job Description:
Reporting to the owners and supporting team members, you will assist with the development and implementation of venue activities to support ONG Vietnamese Kitchen and its projects. Success in this role would ensure optimal customer satisfaction and profitability, whilst maximising the return for the venue.
Main Duties:
Prepare and cook a wide range of Vietnamese dishes to a high, consistent standard.
Contribute ideas for seasonal specials and menu improvements.
Maintain daily kitchen operations, food safety, hygiene and workflow.
Manage prep, monitor inventory, and assist with ordering and stock rotation.
Supervise and train junior staff; promote teamwork and professional standards.
Work closely with management to continually refine kitchen and service quality.
Have a passion for the industry and for activations while being self-motivated, driven and energised in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
Minimum 1–2 years’ chef experience, with relevant Vietnamese/Southeast Asian cuisine essential.
Knowledge of relevant cooking techniques, ingredients and plating.
Ability to perform under pressure and maintain consistency during peak service.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills; strong attention to detail.
Genuine passion for quality, flavour and presentation.
