$43.21 per hour + super | 4 Days/Week | Flexible Day Off

Contract Dates: 29 September - 19 December

Work Schedule: 4 days per week (choose either Monday or Friday off)

Location: Various worksites across the region

About the Role

This hands-on role involves maintaining Council-managed parks and open spaces to high environmental standards. You'll operate and maintain equipment such as mowers, power tools, and light trucks, and contribute to a safe and productive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain parks, reserves, and open spaces to agreed standards
• Operate and maintain plant and equipment safely and efficiently
• Conduct daily equipment checks and complete logbooks
• Review SWMS and risk assessments before commencing work
• Attend toolbox meetings and report issues promptly
• Support other team members and assist with broader maintenance tasks
• Ensure compliance with WHS, risk management, and fraud prevention policies
• Maintain accurate records of work activities and decisions

What You'll Need

• Medium Rigid Driver's Licence (required)
• Experience in sports turf management or horticulture
• Ability to read maps/plans and carry out basic measurements
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Certificate-level qualification in a relevant field (desirable)
• Basic administrative and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and supervise others when required
• Current Working with Children Check
