About the role

As the Maintenance Manager at The Breeze Point Lonsdale by Sencia, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Retirement Village facilities. In this part-time position (28 to 30 hours per week), you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities, from routine upkeep to addressing any issues that may arise. The role would suit a friendly, easy going person that is happy to help our Residents whilst keeping the Village running seamlessly. Based in the beautiful coastal town of Point Lonsdale, Victoria, you will be an integral part of the team, contributing to the overall success of the Village.

What you'll be doing

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure the communal buildings & grounds are maintained to the highest standard

• Carry out regular preventative maintenance as part of the property & asset management requirements

• Through the Village Master CRM program ensure that maintenance requests from residents are attended to in a timely manner. Work closely with the Concierge to make sure all maintenance issues are closed off on Village Master in a timely manner.

• Record all maintenance work that is carried out on villas and apartments in Village Master

• Liaise with outside trades (plumbers/electricians etc.) if they are required to attend on site

• Ensure all display & empty Villas & gardens are well presented for our prospective Residents

• Help set up for resident events & functions (may include relocation of furniture and assistance)

• Regular cleaning and maintenance of our Village Bus & Golf Cart

• Occasional driving of the Village Bus with our residents

Maintenance repair work, Including but not limited to: painting, plastering, tiling, garden maintenance, basic plumbing, cleaning, equipment maintenance and additional duties as directed.

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar maintenance management role, preferably within the trades and services industry

Strong technical knowledge and understanding of building systems, equipment, and maintenance best practices

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to quickly address maintenance issues

Ability to work autonomously onsite and with a team format, taking direction from the Village Manager

Proficient in using maintenance management software and other relevant tools

Exceptional communication and people skills in relating to our client demographic being mostly 70+ years old.

Current driver's license and current police check
