The Shire of Mundaring is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Team Leader to join our Construction team. Reporting to the Supervisor Construction, this full-time role is responsible for supervising and coordinating a team and operating heavy plant and equipment to deliver high-quality civil works.

Key responsibilities

operate and maintain a range of heavy plant and equipment, such as backhoes, loaders, and laser levels, in a safe manner

provide on-the-job training and guidance to employees and contractors to ensure quality and safety standards are met

monitor and record materials used on projects, and ensure purchasing is in align with procurement procedures

provide a high level of customer service

What we are looking for

leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team

advanced skills in operating specialist plant to achieve design tolerances

relevant experience in road and drainage construction and operating complex mechanical plant

comprehensive knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations

current WA "HR" class driver's licence and a Construction Safety Awareness Training card

A salary of $81,767 pa will be offered based on qualifications, ability and experience as well as a range of benefits including:
