The Dough is the Heart
At Forno 46, pizza isn’t just what we do — it’s who we are. And it all starts with the dough.
We honour the Neapolitan tradition:
- A slow-fermented dough, cold-proofed for 24–48 hours
- Made from quality Tipo “00” flour, water, salt, and minimal yeast
- Stretched by hand, baked at high heat for that signature airy, blistered crust

The Role
We’re not just looking for a Head Pizza Chef — we’re searching for a culinary leader who’s ready to leave a mark, and also all levels pizza chefs.

What You’ll Do
- Lead daily pizza prep, dough production, topping and baking
- Manage and train a small, tight-knit team of cooks and kitchen hands
- Maintain food quality, hygiene, stock, and workflow
- Collaborate on menu evolution and seasonal specials
- Coordinate service and dispatch across all platforms
- Foster a kitchen vibe that’s professional, respectful, and passionate
What We’re Looking For
- Pizza Head Chef: 3+ years of experience in pizza-making (stone or wood-fired preferred)
- Desired dough knowledge and fermentation experience (or willingness to master it)
- Leadership qualities and a desire to grow
- Chill, reliable, quality-focused
- Full work rights in Australia; available for evenings and weekends
- Someone who loves food, wants to learn, and values good people
