As the business enters a significant growth phase in 2025 and beyond, they’re now seeking a seasoned Commercial Estimator to join the high-performing team and help drive their ambitious success and expansion plans.

The Role

• Read, interpret, and analyse contracts, specs, and drawings
• Assess tender documentation thoroughly, identifying scope gaps and risks
• Issue RFIs to ensure complete and clarified tender submissions
• Perform take-offs and review supplier and subcontractor quotes for competitiveness and compliance
• Prepare and develop accurate, detailed cost estimates by calculating and validating quantities
• Utilise Buildsoft/Cubit, or equivalent estimating software to deliver competitive tenders
• Proactively build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
• Manage engagement, pricing negotiations, and scope alignment
• Support the team in construction methodologies, program development, and submission documentation
• Contribute to submission templates and ensure documentation meets standards
• Demonstrate flexibility by supporting smaller tenders and maintenance packages alongside larger bids

The Person

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent
• Proven experience as an Estimator on projects valued $1M to $15M, ideally in SE QLD
• Demonstrated stability and loyalty in previous roles
• Proficiency with Buildsoft/Cubit, or equivalent
• Strong relationships with SE QLD suppliers and subcontractors
• Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and ability to see beyond just “the number”
• Flexible, resilient, and pragmatic with the ability to shift between $10M+ tenders and minor works

The Package

• Immediate interview and start available
• Competitive remuneration: $110,000 to $140,000 + Super
• Burleigh Heads office location
• Monday to Friday (typically 8:00 to 4:30 with flexibility)
