OVERALL POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Network engineer – Contribute to the development of the Network engineering strategy through defining network engineering development standards and implementing innovative end-to-end solutions across multiple domains, within fixed networks, edge networks, IP, virtual devices, Cloud, computing and storage. In addition, we’re after someone with good design knowledge, excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as be a team player.

In this role, you will be:

· Performing commissioning, integration and decommissioning of customer services.

· Implementing standard procedures to improve Productivity and Quality.

· Working on Live Network Environment at client base.

· Configuring the VLAN configurations on the ASR switches using NSO Script.

· Port configuration on ASR switches and terminating at customer premises.

· Configure Routing Protocols like BGP, RIP and Static Route through IP-RDM based on design.

· Configure Customer end Cisco switches and NTU devices as per requirement.

· Creating, maintain, and following technical procedures and documentation.

· Should meet all KPI’s in terms of productivity, Quality and process compliance.

· Experience working with various network vendors/providers, with project design and deployment teams.

· High level conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop creative and innovative solutions to difficult and complex problems.

· Provide guidance and direction when sought out by others to resolve problems, either in terms of defining the approach to take, or consideration of factors to be solved for.

· Lead initiatives or components of initiatives in line with the strategic direction of your team/mission, that have significant degree of impact on the function or cross-functionally.

Key Accountability

Delivering services to the customer over Wideband Metropolitan area network.

Provide technical support to team.

Ensure volume targets are met on daily/weekly/monthly

Implementing and standardising processes including Quality control

Quality Control/Assurance

Ensure service delivery meets quality requirements based on Process document and guidelines.

Ensure improved performance & quality service delivery on weekly/monthly basis.

Work effectively as part of the team, with both internal and external key stakeholders.

Key Behaviours, Skills and Experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Exposure in the IP Metropolitan area network

Intermediate-advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio

Capability of working autonomously and in teams collaboratively

Strong attention to detail

Ability to prioritise tasks

Strong time management skills

SME level understanding SME understanding of the following systems

IDEAL, MAGPIE, CSOM, IP-RDM, iTAM, TCMA, DRAKE, RAPID, PUTTY, PRO-VISION, CMART, Net Cracker, CNS-DI, IPDM, CMART

Previous experience in a similar role (or) having hands-on experience on above mentioned systems
