About the Role
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, design, and ongoing support of secure, resilient, and high-performing data and voice networks across the Premier's Department, The Cabinet Office, and Ministers' Offices.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence the direction of network technologies, guiding the adoption of emerging solutions and helping to future-proof critical systems. We're Looking For
- Network Security Expertise: Deep knowledge of Fortinet platforms, ACSC Information Security Manual, NIST frameworks, and best practices
- Advanced Networking Skills: Proven experience with MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, VRF, and multi-site enterprise networks
- Cloud Networking Experience: Hands-on experience with Azure networking (ExpressRoute, VPNs), secure remote access, and monitoring
- Project Management & Delivery: Ability to lead network infrastructure projects from design through to implementation
- Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Skilled in diagnosing and resolving network performance and security issues promptly
- Collaborative Leadership: Experience working with cross-functional teams, mentoring others, and fostering a knowledge-sharing culture.
