Our client is a boutique global investment bank, consistently recognised as a leader in their space and a growing presence in Australia. This role is key in supporting the smooth running of their Sydney office while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing environment.

About the Role
As the Administration Assistant, you will provide vital support to the business, ensuring the daily operations of the Sydney office run seamlessly. You will be responsible for general administration, financial record support, and vendor management, helping to coordinate day-to-day office operations and processes effectively.

This role is ideal for someone with an accounting or finance background looking to step into an operational role, or for a strong administrator eager to join a supportive environment that prioritises professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with office operations such as supplies, equipment, and vendor coordination.
  • Assist with the administration of financial records, systems, and processes.
  • Support event coordination.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with compliance documentation and reporting.
  • Provide reception cover and act as a first point of contact for visitors and incoming calls.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and tasks as required by management.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in administration, finance support, or office coordination role, ideally within financial services or corporate environments.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and professional approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general office systems.
  • A strong team player with a willingness to learn and take initiative.

Role Details

  • Initially a temporary contract with strong potential to convert to permanent.
  • Monday to Friday, full-time office-based role.
  • Sydney CBD location.
  • $39 per hour + superannuation.
  • Immediate start preferred. Candidates with full working rights are strongly encouraged due to potential permanency.
