ABOUT THE ROLE
Title: Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner - Proficient
Location: Hobart, TAS
Salary: $97,000 per annum, plus super and NFP salary packaging
Employment Type: Ongoing / Full-time
Able is ready to launch our Behaviour Support Services in Hobart, so we are looking for a Proficient registered practitioner who is ready to grow a team and their practice, whilst receiving ongoing support and guidance from our national Behaviour Support and Allied Health Team.
You will be part of a team providing consultation, behaviour support planning and staff training, and will be supported to continue to develop your skills and expertise in Positive Behaviour Support.
As a growing team there is ample room for you to continue developing your practice, with professional development and consultations available with our Allied Health team and our Centre of Excellence in Deafblindness.
Skills and experience required to be successful in this role:
- Relevant qualifications in either; Behaviour Support, Education, Psychology, Social Work, Allied Health, Disability or other relevant field
- Registered with relevant professional body (eg AHPRA/AASW etc)
- Demonstrated skills and experience to meet the Proficient Capability - Behaviour Support Practitioner as outlined in the National Disability Insurance Scheme Quality and Safeguards Commission - Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework and maintain suitability to deliver Behaviour Support under the NDIS
- Experience providing training, supervision and support to diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of the State Disability Services Acts and National Quality and Safeguards Framework as they apply to restrictive practices and behaviour support.
