State Operations Manager – Warehousing (Tri-Temp Focus)
Location: Deer Park, VIC
Salary: $150,000 – $180,000 + Benefits
Hill McGlynn Recruitment is representing a leading national logistics business in the search for a State Operations Manager. This role will act as the right-hand to the State Manager, overseeing daily warehouse operations in a high-volume tri-temp environment, with a pathway to step into more senior leadership in the future.
The Opportunity
As State Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for running and optimising warehouse operations across ambient, chilled, and frozen product flows. While your focus will be on internal processes and people leadership, you’ll also gain exposure to last-mile delivery and broader state-level responsibilities.
This is both a critical support role and a development opportunity. You’ll work closely with the State Manager while being trusted to step up when required — gaining the experience and visibility needed to progress into a State Manager role.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and optimise daily operations within a high-volume tri-temp warehouse
• Oversee staffing, inventory, compliance, and safety across all temperature zones
• Support the State Manager in broader state operations and last-mile integration
• Take full accountability in the State Manager’s absence
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse functions

What You’ll Bring

• Strong operational leadership experience in warehousing and logistics, ideally within tri-temp environments (ambient, chilled, frozen)
• P&C (Petrol & Convenience) experience is highly regarded, but not essential
• Proven ability to manage warehouse teams and deliver operational efficiency
• Ambition and leadership potential to step into a State Manager role in the future
