About the role

Our client, a leader in their field throughout Australia, is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join the team in the role of Operations Manager. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and logistics of the organisation, ensuring efficient and effective processes are in place to support the company's objectives.

What you'll be doing

Manage and oversee all operational activities, including production, distribution, inventory, and quality control

Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity

Coordinate and optimise the flow of materials, resources, and information to meet customer demands

Analyse operational data, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions

Manage and lead a team of operational staff, providing guidance, support, and training as needed

Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and finance, to ensure alignment and cross-functional coordination

Maintain compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards

Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and streamline operations

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar operations management role, preferably in the FMCG manufacturing or processing

Strong understanding of operational processes, supply chain management, and logistics

Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills

Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with effective communication and interpersonal skills

Experience in implementing operational improvements and driving process optimisation

Proficient in using relevant software and technology to support operations

Tertiary qualification in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or a related field is desirable
