Our client is seeking a commercially astute Commercial Energy Specialist to drive customer engagement, optimise energy agreements, and unlock new revenue opportunities across their asset base. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage commercial customer relationships and agreements within the NWIS, ensuring compliance with contestable market regulations.
- Maximise asset value through strategic advisory, contract development, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Drive growth by originating and executing commercially robust Energy Supply Agreements (or equivalents).
- Manage the full lifecycle from opportunity assessment through to customer negotiation and seamless handover to the Major Customer Accounts team.
What You’ll Bring
- Demonstrated expertise in contract management and negotiation.
- Strong understanding of commercial pricing, financial and technical concepts.
- Experience in business development, bid preparation, and pre-contract activities across multiple workstreams.
- Proficiency in drafting and reviewing contracts, scopes of work, and variations to ensure commercially sound outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach and the ability to build strong relationships.
- Solid knowledge of the contestable energy market and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Tertiary qualifications (or working towards) in Commerce, Business, Finance, or Law—or equivalent experience in the energy sector.
- Background in mining, resources, or energy industries is highly regarded.
