Process Control Specialist

NES Fircroft are partnering with a leading rare earths/mineral sands resource client to source a Process Control Specialist to join their site based teams in the Midwest area of WA. This is a residential role based out of Geraldton WA where relocation support can be offered for the successful candidate.

About You

• Qualifications in engineering, computing, or an electrical trade background.
• Experience in industrial or mining environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking, virtualized server systems/operating systems and workstation management.
• Proficiency in SCADA configuration/development, PLC and DCS programming and fault diagnosis.
• A Restricted Electrical Workers’ Licence and/or Certificate IV in Electrical Instrumentation (preferred).

Job Role

• Provide technical support for plant process control systems and network infrastructure at operational sites.
• Perform programming and configuration changes for PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems to support upgrades and operational improvements.
• Troubleshoot control systems to minimize downtime and maintain plant integrity whilst also contributing to continous improvement of relevant automation/control systems
• Ensure the safe and compliant operation of plant equipment and systems
