Job Opportunity

We are seeking an Accounts Officer to join our team on a 6-month contract.

The primary focus will be end-to-end processing of suppliers’ invoices, employee expenses, and credit card transactions. This role extends to other areas of general accounting and finance operations, contributing to a well-rounded finance function and exposure to system implementation.

Roles & Responsibilities

Accounts Payable:

Process supplier invoices, staff reimbursements and credit card transactions accurately in line with internal approval processes.

Maintain the accounts payable ledger and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts and suppliers’ statements.

Manage the AP inbox. Respond to supplier queries professionally and promptly either by email or phone while maintaining a positive relationship.

Prepare and process payment runs in line with company policies

Assist with month-end closing tasks related to AP (supplier’s statements, accruals, reconciliations, etc.)

General Finance Support:

Support the finance team with month-end activities

Provide data entry and transactional support across AR, GL, payroll and fixed assets as needed

Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate coding and cost allocations

Support the integration of new systems

About You:

Proven experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role

Team player with proactive attitude

The ability to identify discrepancies or issues within accounts and take the initiative to resolve them promptly

Strong attention to detail, organisation and time-management skills

Excellent verbal and written communication

Proficient in Excel and accounting systems, Xero experience an advantage
