About the role
Reporting the Executive Manager, People and Culture, the People and Culture (P&C) Officer plays a vital role in enhancing the employee experience of OARS CT by providing timely, efficient, and proactive support and administration across key PC functions. This includes recruitment, onboarding, staff engagement, offboarding, reporting and compliance. Operating with autonomy, this position requires sound judgment, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong ability to coordinate and implement improvements to systems and processes that span the entire employee lifecycle.
This role presents an exciting opportunity to be involved in building the P&C function of OARS CT from the ground up. In addition to the day-to-day responsibilities, the P&C Officer will also be able to contribute to projects such as HR system implementation, workforce development initiatives, establishment of new services and more in accordance with our Strategic People Plan.

FTE: 0.8 - 1.0 FTE (negotiable).
Location: Adelaide, SA with flexible working hours and hybrid working arrangements negotiable.

About you
To ensure your success in this role, you'll bring:
A strong alignment to OARS CT’s organisational values and culture.
Demonstrated experience (ideally 2+ years) in a PC related role, including administration, provision of advice and interpretation of policies, procedures and processes.
A proven ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills to liaise with wide range of people at all levels and different backgrounds.
The ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships, underpinned by trust, mutual respect and shared goals.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS systems.
A National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement of employment)
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (desirable, but not essential)
