We’re looking for an Aboriginal Cultural Program Specialist to support the Cultural Team in working with First Nations young people and their families. The role focuses on providing culturally safe psychosocial supports that strengthen social and emotional wellbeing, while maximising opportunities for young people.

About the Role
As an Aboriginal Cultural Program Specialist, you will provide culturally safe psychosocial supports and activities to strengthen the social and emotional well-being of First Nations young people and their families.
You will:
Deliver psychosocial supports, wellbeing activities, and cultural programs for young people and families.
Partner with the Centre Manager and Clinical Lead to ensure culturally safe, innovative services.
Support Cultural and Clinical Teams to work effectively together and with program partners.
Build strong partnerships with Aboriginal organisations, schools, and mental health services.
Ensure services meet contractual, safety, and compliance requirements.
Represent iREACH in community, state, and national forums
About You
You bring:
Certificate or Training in Youth Work, Mental Health, or Aboriginal Health.
Demonstrated ability to support teams and deliver innovative services for First Nations people.
Strong understanding of the Social and Emotional Wellbeing framework.
Experience delivering culturally grounded psychosocial support.
Knowledge of local Aboriginal services and ability to form effective partnerships.
Proficiency in case notes, client databases, and Microsoft Office.
A commitment to culturally safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed practices
Experience working with young people and families
A valid Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one
