
Administration and Accounts Officer

We are looking for a dedicated Administration & Accounts Officer to support the life and work of our church. This role is vital to keeping our community activities running smoothly and ensuring our ministers, council and volunteers are supported in their service.
The role will include:
Coordinating the day-to-day running of the office
Supporting communication through newsletters, signage, and social media
Managing hall hire and liaising with community groups who use our spaces
Assisting with financial administration and bookkeeping tasks
Maintaining compliance with child safety, Synod and Presbytery requirements
Offering warm and professional assistance to the minister, pastor, council and wider community
The new employee will need to bring:
Administrative experience in a community or similar environment
Excellent organisational skills, with initiative and attention to detail
Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
Competence in IT (Word, MailChimp, Google Docs, spreadsheets; XERO an advantage)
An inclusive and welcoming approach, with respect for diverse backgrounds and spiritualities
A values-driven outlook aligned with Tecoma Uniting Church
Requirements:
Current Working with Children Check
National Police Check
Willingness to contribute to the life of the church community
