About the role

The National Trust is seeking an Operations Coordinator at Mooramong Homestead. This position is suited to a dedicated and tourism focused individual, who is prepared to undertake a variety of responsibilities including the coordination of the homestead and associated tourism operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

Coordination of homestead operations including security, site maintenance and visitor amenities

Manage and coordinate commercial activity, including accommodation, events and functions

Conduct visitor tours, site inspections, industry ‘family’ and other engagements

Plan for and manage the growth of tourism activities at Mooramong

Management of volunteers including recruitment and rostering

Manage the conservation and presentation of the homestead and its collections

Deliver compelling visitor experiences that maximise profitability and promote the National Trust’s brand

Engage with the local communities and the National Trust branch to increase volunteer participation

Engage with internal and external stakeholders including clients and contractors

Recommend, implement and report on annual budget and relevant control processes

About you

Experience and knowledge/skills in property operations and/or tourism (required)

Demonstrated interest in heritage

An ability to think outside the norm and drive business success with promotions & expanding the business

Strong organisational excellence

Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise workflow

A strong work ethic

Composure and customer focus while troubleshooting and solving issues.

You have a co-operative approach to working with members of the NTAV community

Have a current Australian Driver’s License
