As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated Retail /Hospitality Manager to join our leadership team.

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Retail/Hospitality Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our food retail and hospitality business. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership, business acumen, and the ability to manage both in-store operations and external market sales.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, direct, and evaluate the operations of the retail and hospitality business

Lead, supervise, and train staff to achieve performance and service targets

Manage inventory, stock levels, purchasing, and supplier relationships

Organise and oversee local weekend and public holiday food market stalls

Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, food safety, and company policies

Handle customer service, feedback, and complaints in a professional manner

Prepare staff rosters, manage recruitment, and conduct performance reviews

Monitor and analyse sales performance, budgets, and profitability

Implement marketing and promotional activities to increase sales of semi-cooked pastry and dumpling products

Work closely with our chef/director to develop and expand takeaway pastry and dumpling product lines

Contribute to business planning and the development of future franchise opportunities in the hospitality sector

Skills and Experience Required

Minimum 1 years’ experience in a management role within the retail or hospitality industry

Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in hospitality, business, or management (degree from an Australian university highly regarded)

Strong business and analytical skills

Proven leadership and team management experience

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, staffing, and inventory control

High level of problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required
