Project Administrator

Cable Layers Australia (CLA) is a specialist Civil Construction company delivering high-quality excavation and directional drilling services across Western Australia. We work with clients in the power, communications, and broader civil works sectors.

We are now seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Administrator to join our team in Cockburn. This is a key support role, where you’ll be assisting our Project and Construction Managers with a range of administrative and project coordination tasks to ensure smooth project delivery.

Your Role Will Include

Preparing and formatting client contracts and project documentation

Raising purchase orders and maintaining procurement records

Assisting with progress claims, variations, and invoicing

Submitting permits to councils and managing authority approvals

Supporting subcontractor management and tracking deliverables

Maintaining project records and close-out documentation (MDRs)

Coordinating internal and external communication across projects

Monitoring outstanding payments and client follow-ups

General office and project admin tasks as required

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in a similar Project Administrator or Project Support role

Familiarity with civil construction, utilities, or infrastructure projects

Confident working with contracts, scopes, and construction drawings

Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office and general admin systems

Great communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
