Granny Flats WA are expanding its administration department and facilitating flexible hours and conditions to suit applicants to assist in making this a family friendly work environment.
We are seeking both senior and junior staff ideally with previous exposure to the building administration arena and are keen to move into a great family business operating in WA for over 25 years.
Junior applicants with a keenness to work in administration in the building industry are also welcome to apply as training will be provided and company advancement available over time.
Generating over 250 building contracts per year the company is dynamically growing which is a very exciting time to jump on board as we are able to provide prospects of growth within the business, more senior roles mentoring new staff and leading and working within a great team.
Training and location is at the Booragoon Head office with potentially new offices expected in Nedlands.
Granny Flats WA is seeking experienced Building Administration Officers to join our team. This is a full-time position that will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and effective administration of our construction projects.
What you'll be doing
Overseeing all administrative aspects of our construction approvals projects, including document management, record-keeping, and coordinating with various stakeholders and liaising with local councils
Liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations
Maintaining and updating project schedules and timelines for council approvals
Providing administrative support to the project management team as needed
Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency of our operations
What we're looking for
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar building administration or office management role
Excellent knowledge of building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
Proficient in using office software, including Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders
A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with a keen eye for detail
