About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join the team at ONEFOCUS CONSOLIDATED PTY LTD on a part-time basis. As Payroll Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for a number of our not for profit clients.

You would have the choice of working remotely or from our Melbourne or Albury offices.

What you'll be doing

Process payroll for a number of organisations, including calculations, deductions, and superannuation contributions

Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll-related legislation and regulations

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including leave balances, tax information, and personal details

Assist with the preparation of payroll reports and reconciliations

Respond to queries from employees regarding their pay and benefits

Collaborate with the clients' HR team to support the onboarding of new employees

Continuously seek opportunities to streamline and improve payroll processes

What we're looking for

Proven experience in a payroll officer or similar role, ideally within the Accounting industry

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of payroll processing

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with employees

Proficient in using payroll software and other relevant technologies

A collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement

Relevant payroll qualifications or certifications are highly desirable
