Are you passionate about providing exceptional patient care in a supportive environment? We’re seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team for 2 days a week to cover a maternity leave period for a fixed term contract of 12 months in our Ipswich clinic (may be an option to extend). The work days requiring filling are Thursday and Friday. Training will start in October.

Your Role: As our Medical Receptionist, you’ll be an essential part of our practice, ensuring our patients feel welcomed and supported. Your tasks will include:

Booking appointments and setting up new patients

Ensuring access to relevant radiology

Assisting with patient billing

Managing emails and phone calls

Ordering stock

Proofreading medical letters (no typing required)

What We’re Looking For: We value individuals who bring not just skills, but a caring spirit and the ability to take initiative. You should have:

Exceptional customer service skills and a genuine desire to assist patients

A friendly phone manner

A willingness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges

Previous experience in medical reception (experience with Gentu or similar software and Medicare) preferred but not essential

The ability to work efficiently, respond promptly to communications, and think on your feet
