The Role

We are seeking a Civil Construction Leading Hand to join our team. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading small crews, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and lead on-site crews on day-to-day activities

Assist Supervisors/Foremen with planning and coordination of works

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality requirements

Operate plant and equipment when required

Support training and development of team members

Communicate effectively with supervisors, subcontractors, and clients

About You

Proven experience in civil construction (roadworks, drainage, subdivisions, or similar)

Previous experience as a Leading Hand or senior operator

Strong understanding of OH&S and quality standards

Ability to read and interpret plans and follow instructions

HR/MR licence, machinery tickets, and First Aid (desirable)

Positive, team-focused attitude with strong leadership skills
