As a Leading Hand, you will be responsible for guiding and mentoring your team and delivering BMR projects to a high standard ensuring full compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, project timelines and milestones. You will work closely with the supervisors, suppliers, vendors, subcontractors and client representatives to support successful project outcomes. This is a hands on role working within the welding crews.

What you'll be doing

Oversee and lead teams consisting of Poly Welders, Machine Operators and Trade Assistants in their daily tasks in a hands on role.

Liaise with clients, stakeholders and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required standards.

Prepare project plans, progress reports and QAQC documentation

Monitor project performance and identify opportunities for improvement

Conduct toolbox talks, pre-starts, and maintain safety and quality compliance.

Ensure all team members comply with BMR’s Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Policies and Procedures at all times.

What we're looking for

Must have RTIO Inductions, Experience using T500 and T900 Welding machines and HDPE Butt welding tickets within 2 years.

Extensive knowledge of HDPE pipe installation, pumps, hydro testing, and civil earthworks.

Data logger experience

Strong technical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail

Ability to interpret civil and piping drawings and manage multiple work fronts.

A commitment to safety and a track record of delivering high-quality work

Flexibility to work in the Perth office and FIFO on rosters as per project requirements
