Our client is a demolition & asbestos removal specialist, who delivers safe, efficient, and commercial demolition. Located conveniently in Malaga, WA with parking on site and multiple opportunities for career growth and development.

We are currently seeking a Demolition Leading Hand to join our client’s team on a permanent basis, servicing multiple projects around Perth metro and regional WA.

The Role

• Lead from the front while still performing hands-on demolition work
• Guide small teams, providing clear direction on methods and quality
• Carry out physical demolition tasks, including strip-outs, dismantling, and use of plant/tools
• Maintain site safety, equipment checks, and tidy work areas
• Mentor new or less experienced team members
• Assist the Class 1 Supervisor in delivering safe, well-run jobs
• Proactively identify hazards, delays, or issues to prevent disruption
• Promote a positive, steady influence that the team naturally follows

Requirements

• 2–3 years’ hands-on demolition experience
• White Card (mandatory)
• HRWL, EWP, Forklift or first aid ticket (Advantageous)
• Asbestos removal qualifications (Advantageous)
• Skilled in using demolition tools, equipment, and machinery
• Strong knowledge of safe work methods and PPE standards
• Physically fit, reliable, and able to work in demanding environments
• Good communication skills and a strong team player

The role is based in the Malaga office and is offered on a casual basis, working Monday to Friday. Hourly rate is $42/hr+ Super + Penalties. Ideally looking for someone to start immediately.
