About the role

We are seeking a well organised Timber-yard Office Administrator to join our team at Hume and Iser Mitre 10' in Bendigo, Victoria. This full-time position will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation of our busy timber-yard by managing administrative duties and providing exceptional customer service.

What you'll be doing

Providing general administrative support to the timber-yard, including filing, data entry, and document management

Handling customer inquiries and orders over the phone, in person, or via email in a prompt and professional manner

Maintaining inventory records and assisting with stock management tasks

Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to coordinate deliveries and ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders

Ensuring the office space is well-organised and maintained

Adhering to company policies, procedures, and workplace health and safety guidelines

What we're looking for

Proven experience in an administrative or customer service role, preferably within the retail or construction industry

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with customers, suppliers, and team members

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to learn new software systems quickly

A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records

A customer-centric approach and a genuine desire to provide exceptional service
