We are looking for a passionate and skilled baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in traditional baking techniques including sourdough fermentation, hand shaping and baking in a deck oven.
The role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality and a love for crafting high quality breads and pastries using natural ingredients.
You will need to be available on weekends. Our baking shifts are evening shifts starting at 4pm until around 12am
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries and other baked goods from scratch
Follow and refine recipes to ensure consistency and quality
Mix, shape and proof doughs
Operate and maintain baking equipment
Ensure all products meet our standards for taste, texture and appearance
Qualifications and skills
Previous experience in a bakery is essential
Knowledge of artisan bread-making techniques including fermentation and lamination
Ability to work evening shifts (4pm to midnight)
Ability to work independently
Meals and coffee provided during all shifts
