About the role This is a newly created role working with a tech based oragnisation who have a global presence and are experience exciting growth here in Australia. They are in need of an energetic Assistant Accountant to join their accounting team as soon as possible. The role will be working in a smaller accounting team of x3 people, and will be best suited to someone who has strong attention to detail and is looking to grow their accounting skill set. The role will start on a 5 month contract, however has a genuine chance to go permanent.

The responsibilities Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following duties:

• Manage end to end AP responsibilities
• Manage end to end AR responsibilities
• Process daily bank reconciliations
• Assist with month end closure and reporting
• Manage journal postings and GL reconciliations
• Any other ad hoc responsibilities needed within the team

The successful applicant will have

• Ideally at least 2 years experience in a similar role.
• Ideally studying toward your CPA/CA, or looking to do so in the future
• Any experience working with ODOO system an advantage
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Adapt to a faced pace environment.
