About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Finance /Accounts Manager to lead our financial operations. You will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of our HCP and NDIS services as well as our fee paying and corporate clients, ensuring compliance and financial sustainability.
The Finance/Accounts Manager maintains relevant records that reflect appropriate financial management systems are in place.
The Finance/Accounts Manager is responsible for but not ;imited to overseeing payroll, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, profit/loss statements; financial, staff and client reporting to the Directors; superannuation submission, prepare and submit BAS/Payroll Tax/ Quarterly and Annual; reporting to the Department of Health, Portable Long Service Leave submission, control of all HCP finance related matters and liaising with Services Australia, meeting and liaising with company accountants and lawyers when required, ensuring staff rates and allowances are updated; supervising/delegating work to staff in the accounts department.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage financial operations across HCP and NDIS, fee paying and corporate clients
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Monitor client package funds, prepare monthly service statements, and manage unspent funds.
- Ensure accurate claiming via NDIS Portal My Aged Care systems and NDIS portals.
- Partner with care teams to align services with approved budgets and care plans.
- Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Provide strategic financial insights to support business growth.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a finance leadership role within the aged care sector and NDIS sectors.
- Knowledge of HCP funding rules, NDIS pricing, and government claiming systems (PRODA, MAC).
- Proficient in Xero, Lumary, or similar financial/NDIS software.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications in and/or demonstrated experience of an accounts management role
Demonstrated proficiency in related IT systems eg MYOB Advance, Xero, PRODA, My Aged Care (MAC}
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
Demonstrated experience in organisation, time management and problem-solving
skills
Satisfactory outcome Working With Children Check when applicable
Desirable
Effective verbal and written skills
Understanding of OH&S
Understanding of electronic software programs
Awareness of relevant accreditation /certification requirements for HCP and NDIS
Experience in ongoing development of policies/procedures and related records

Complete and prepare financial reports as requested by the Managing Director
Timely payment of invoices and payroll
Complete and action Incident reports in a timely manner
Comply with Aged Care Quality Standards and the NDIS Practice Standards in all day
to day operations
Maintain client and staff records
Attend meeting with Director and other stakeholders, including accountants when
required
Development
Promote and support business growth
Participate in training sessions that are required
Identify, communicate and participate in discussion and provide input regarding
continuous improvement
Occupational Health and Safety
Act in a safe manner at all times
Report any incident/ hazards to the Risk, Quality and Compliance Manager
Management
Oversee and manage timely payment of invoices and payroll
Oversee and manage all debts
Provide guidance and support to team members within the Accounts department
Oversee and manage all complaints raised in the Accounts department
Oversee and manage all incidents raised in the Accounts department
