Role Description
As our BFT Epping community continues to grow, so does the need to elevate our coaching leadership and operational consistency. We're introducing a key role to ensure seamless communication, uphold elite coaching standards, and support both our members and coaching team across all sessions.
Reporting to the Studio Manager and Head Coach, this Morning Lead Coach role will be instrumental in maintaining alignment with BFT Epping’s vision of building a safe, empowering, and community-driven training space. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving coaching excellence, fostering team development, contributing to business operations, and supporting studio initiatives such as retention, sales, and campaigns.
This role is for morning shifts, with a minimum of 26 - 28 hours per week (approximately 4 shifts).
The position will begin as a casual role, with the opportunity to transition into part-time or full-time employment for the right candidate.
Applicants must also be available to work during the Christmas and New Year period.
Key Responsibilities
Coaching (Reporting to Head Coach)
Uphold and deliver BFT Epping’s Coaching Standards across all sessions.
Act as the on-floor coaching leader for each shift, ensuring consistency and high-energy delivery.
Support casual coaches with updated session briefs and coaching guidance.
Ensure daily sessions are prepped, reviewed, and delivered with attention to detail.
Integrate campaign messaging into Cool Downs.
Ensure post-session member experience through social media uploads (stories, wins, etc.).
Monitor and uphold studio cleanliness and maintenance protocols.
Immediately report and flag any equipment or studio issues.
Welcome and support all new members, visitors, and triallers to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
Administrative (Reporting to Studio Manager)
Maintain and update member profiles (injuries, health updates, personal notes).
Manage and action coaching notes and flow notes.
Communicate daily with the opposite shift Lead Coach for continuity and member handovers.
Flag and request studio or equipment repairs as needed.
Monitor member engagement: milestones, birthdays, check-ins, and retention trends.
Stay informed and engaged in current and upcoming studio campaigns.
Assist with lead nurturing and membership sales processes.
Actively participate in leadership and team meetings.
Collaborate in campaign planning and business development discussions.
Lead and support initiatives during our 8-Week Challenges.
Assist with the creation and editing of educational coaching videos.
