About the role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Chef De Partie to join our dynamic culinary team at the Queens Hotel in Gladstone, Queensland. As a key member of the kitchen brigade, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise in a venue currently undergoing a $10 million transformation – redefining hospitality in Central Queensland with a bold and innovative approach.

What you’ll be doing

Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to the highest quality standards

Taking ownership of your section and consistently delivering outstanding results

Assisting the Head Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations and supporting staff

Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment

Ensuring strict compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations

Collaborating with the team to develop new menus and elevate existing offerings

Guiding, training and mentoring junior kitchen staff

What we’re looking for

Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Chef De Partie or similar role

Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation

Excellent time management and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment

Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining high standards

Passion for using fresh, locally sourced ingredients

A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic

Food safety certification and relevant culinary qualifications
