About the role

We are seeking a full time Safety Officer who is proactive, reliable and hands-on person to join our EHS Team.

This person will need to be team-oriented, a strong communicator and follow instructions whilst providing support with day to day tasks.

Key Requirements/Duties

Maintain alignment with Queensland WHS Legislation, Code to Practice and any relevant Australian Standards.

Conduct site inspections across multi-sites, identify corrective actions, and update relevant records.

Review and update Risk Assessments (P&E and chemical), safe work procedures (SWP) and job safety analysis (JSA).

Monitor calibrations register, and actively engage suppliers to ensure ongoing compliance.

Create weekly toolbox talks.

Update hazard and incident registers.

Assist in identifying safety training needs of workers

Scheduling time and resources for workers to complete appropriate safety training

About you

Certificate IV in WHS (minimum)

Minimum 3 years experience in EHS

Knowledge of Altora or similar (advantage)

Knowledge of ADG and Hazardous Areas (advantage)

Current Drivers License (essential)

Working in heights (desirable)

Confined space (desirable)
