We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Safety Manager to join our team at TFH Hire Services, based in Kingston. In this role, you will take the lead in developing, implementing, and maintaining a company-wide Safety Management System, ensuring adherence to ISO 45001 and 9001 Safety and Quality Management Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain safety management systems in accordance with ISO 45001 standards.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Provide training and support to staff on safety procedures and best practices.
Investigate incidents and accidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all safety certifications and accreditations are up to date.
Monitor and report on safety performance metrics and continuously improve safety processes.
Manage Worker Compensation and Return to Work
Build and maintain strong working relationships with managers and employees across various branches.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
In-depth knowledge of maintaining and managing Safety Management Systems to comply with Occupational Health & Safety System (ISO 45001).
Knowledge in Chain of Responsibility (COR) and National Heavy Vehicle (NHVAS)
Experience with SharePoint.
Strong technical experience in managing compliance programs.
Experience with Workcover and Return to Work (multi state knowledge will be an advantage)
Excellent organisational, analytical, and computer skills.
Solid knowledge of the transport and or hire industry would be advantageous
Qualifications and Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
Diploma in Quality Auditing.
Quality Systems Auditor training (advantageous).
Training and Assessing (advantageous)
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
