Hays Recruitment has partnered with a well-established industry leader in transport services who have an exciting opportunity for an experienced transport coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is in Melbourne's eastern suburbs.

Your new role

In your new role as a transport scheduler, you will be responsible for:

• Coordinating bus schedules, driver shifts, and route assignments.
• Ensure buses are dispatched on time and routes are covered.
• Manage weekend and after-hours driver rosters and fleet allocation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain driver diaries and monitor fatigue compliance.
• Provide customer service support by handling issues, delays etc.
• Build client relationships and promote services.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience in a similar transport scheduler or fleet allocator role.
• Strong knowledge of Metro Melbourne
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access), with strong data entry skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
