DIGITAL ENGAGEMENT OFFICER
About the opportunity
We are seeking a creative and community-focused Digital Engagement Officer to join our Corporate and Community team. This exciting role supports digital inclusion across the region through technology training, app development, and community engagement.
You’ll deliver digital literacy programs, manage content for the Port Pirie Discovery Trail mobile app, and support cultural and community initiatives. This is a dynamic role for someone passionate about digital empowerment, storytelling, and working collaboratively with diverse communities.
This is a three-year fixed term, full-time position, classified at Level 3 of the South Australian Municipal Salaried Officers Award and Associated Enterprise Agreement, with an immediate start desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver digital literacy workshops and support sessions.
Develop and administer and update content for the Port Pirie Discovery Trail mobile app.
Assist with community development projects, events, and communications.
Provide support to the Gallery & Cultural Arts program, including digital promotion.
Maintain accurate records and uphold Council’s Work Health & Safety standards.
Support Council’s corporate values and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and productive workplace.
About you
To be considered for this position, you will have:
Certificate III or higher in Information, Digital Media & Technology, Community Development, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in delivering technology training or digital inclusion programs.
High-level digital competency, including Microsoft 365 and basic multimedia editing.
Excellent communication, project coordination, and time management skills.
Respectful and inclusive approach to working with diverse communities.
A current South Australian Class C Driver’s Licence.
