Football NSW is seeking a Club Technical Development Coordinator to lead the way in supporting clubs deliver high-performance environments that support player and coach development across our talented player pathway clubs.
About Us
Football NSW is committed to the implementation of the Club Standards & Benchmarking framework across Junior & Youth Clubs within the Talented Player Pathway.
The Club Standards & Benchmark framework aligns with key focus elements of the Football NSW Strategic Plan to produce football talent and provide leadership to Clubs with the aim to make FNSW the most effective youth system in Australia.
The introduction of the framework will enable Football NSW to cater for the individual needs of Clubs within our football ecosystem and enable them to lead football development across all levels of the game. The Football NSW Technical Department will visit Club trainings and matchday during the season to support the growth and development of their program as well as meeting with Clubs and their members regularly. The framework will empower Clubs to create best practice environments for their players and coaches in support of retention, producing talent and making Australia an internationally competitive football nation.
The Club Technical Development Coordinator will be directly involved in supporting Clubs technical development including elements such as their Youth Development Plan, Football Operations, Coach Development Plan and Player services, along with the delivery of Club Capability building workshops/events and relevant coach education events and courses. This role is critical to the growth of high performing football environments within our talent player pathway club landscape and will play a key role in building capability and capacity of JDL, GYL & BYL Clubs in NSW.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Conduct Club visits to support Clubs in the creation and completion of the Club Standards & Benchmarking framework.
Conduct training & matchday visits to evaluate the Junior & Youth landscape.
Accurately and fairly report findings, identifying areas of strength, weaknesses and opportunities for Clubs and FNSW.
In collaboration with the FNSW Technical Department, design and deliver Club capability building workshops to support the Clubs with continued development
Work in collaboration with the Football NSW Competition Department to provide guidance and advice on League changes to improve football development outcomes for Junior & Youth participants
Work in collaboration with Football NSW Standing Committees in support of long term player & coach development and retention.
Create and delivery Coach Education courses/workshops/events
Support the Technical Department in its delivery of talented player pathway programs; TSP, TDS, NYC, Future Sapphires
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviour Required
· AFC/FA B Diploma
· High level of football knowledge in the Skill Acquisition (Junior) & Game Training (Youth) Phase
· Proven experience in the delivery of football development programs within a FNSW Club
· Proven experience working with a broad cross section of stakeholders
· Experience in Excel (spreadsheets), and other database practices
· Highly organised with strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
· The ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks within defined time frames
· Proven team player and with conflict resolution experience
· Excellent problem-solving ability and analytical skills
· Commitment to evidence based decision making
· Eligibility to work in Australia
· Commitment to FNSW Policies, Procedures and behaviour expectations
· Working with children check and current driver’s license
Desirable skillset
· AFC/FA A Diploma or higher
· AFC/FA Coach Education Tutor (CET)
· Experience in implementing similar Standard based programs within a sport environment
Unique criteria
This role will require evening & weekend work which will be included within normal working hours as part of the role contract.
Time in Lieu may be available upon discussion within direct manager and CEO.
