Posted 6 days ago
Summary: School-hours office role in a professional services firm. Keep our office running smoothly with structure and accuracy.
As our next on-site office administrator, you’ll bring the confidence and capability of someone who knows how to get the job done. If you value structure, efficiency and best practices, you'll fit right in here. We've honed our admin processes to use clear checklists, with established routines and straightforward expectations.
We’re looking for a team member with high attention to detail, confident communication skills and professional presentation.
This role has been designed to suit school hours for an experienced admin / task-focused operator who likes to do the job well and switch off at the end of a short day.
(Please note: only Australian citizens and permanent residents who are currently residing within 20 minutes’ drive of Camberwell are invited to apply.)
Salary: $75K–$80K FTE (pro rated for part time)
How we work
You’ll own your tasks end to end, keep the ball rolling when you need to assign tasks to colleagues, and keep the management team informed on progress.
Most of your time will be managing streamlined admin functions such as updating our systems, preparing standardised reports and keeping colleagues up to date.
The role is a simple admin role, working with our MD, practice manager, accounts manager and our business coaches. The admin role doesn't include responsibilities for bookkeeping or financial management.
Your day at work will look like
Your work pattern will be very predictable: 5 days per week (Monday to Friday) in our Camberwell office, starting around 9am, finishing around 2:45/3pm. (We're happy to explore start/end times that will suit you and us.)
Complete daily administrative tasks with high attention to detail.
Enter data into our systems and check for accuracy (we’ll train you).
Provide a warm first point of contact for scheduled client meetings (greeting, tea/coffee, room set ups).
Keep the office welcoming and presentation ready (stack/unstack dishwasher, light tidy, care for indoor plants).
Manage basic office operations such as consumables and stationery, and run ad hoc errands (post office, couriers)
General support for our coaches and practice manager.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who has already proven they can show up, take responsibility, and get the job done in an office role. You’ll have:
Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in an operations role e.g. office support, front of house, events management (any sector).
High attention to detail and professional presentation.
Strong Microsoft 365 skills (Word, PowerPoint; Excel).
A stable and responsible approach to your work – you follow through and people trust you.
Good time management – you work well with structure and directions.
A proactive mindset – you spot what needs doing and you do it.
Current driver’s licence and physical ability to carry light items up and down stairs often and do short local errands from time to time.
What we offer you
A part time role in our Camberwell office (on site role only, no WFH) with a competitive pro rata salary.
Stable employment with clear routines and realistic workloads in a mature coaching firm.
Pleasant workplace with a supportive and professional team.
Benefits and perks
Quarterly team days (we’ve done pottery, cooking classes, Picasso style painting and more).
Participation in internal reviews of business strategies – learn how other businesses work and what makes them successful.
A collaborative environment where everyone is respected and valued for their ideas and input.
How to apply
If you’re an experienced operator seeking reliable school hours work in a professional firm in the Camberwell area, this role could be great for you.
Please submit 2 documents:
1. A separate cover letter to our Practice Manager, Tania Baker:
Shows us why you're the right fit – we’re looking for a great match, not just a great CV
It’s ok to use AI but make sure your cover letter genuinely reflects you
Includes your suburb and postcode
(Don't include your cover letter in your resume - your application won't be seen.)
2. Your resume as a separate attachment
We thank all applicants in advance but please note that only successful candidates will be contacted for a call. (No recruiters please – we’ve got this covered.)
