About the role

As the Team Lead Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner at Yesability, you will be responsible for leading a team of experienced behaviour support practitioners to deliver high-quality, person-centred service, that empowers people living with difference.

Metropolitan positions are based from Osborne Park and Canning Vale office.

Regional and remote location is flexible.

What you'll be doing:

Manage, coordinate and supervise a team of Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery to clients

Develop and oversee the implementation of client-specific behaviour support plans that promote positive behaviours and enhance quality of life

Provide expert guidance, coaching and mentoring to team members to build their skills and capabilities

Involvement in the leadership and Governance decisions related to the Positive behaviour support sector.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including allied health professionals, to develop and review client support strategies

Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards

Contribute to the continuous improvement of YesAbility's behaviour support services

Support a small case load in order to remain ‘in touch’ with the service and requirements

Regional and remote position may require travel within Western Australia to support these communities and practitioners living in these areas.

Desirable Skills and Attributes:

Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, occupational therapy or a related allied health discipline

Extensive experience (minimum 2 years) in providing positive behaviour support to people with complex needs

Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, families and multidisciplinary teams

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement practical behaviour support strategies

Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards governing positive behaviour support

Registered with NDIS as a PBS practitioner as proficient level or above
